How I Started My Online Business, And Why You Should Too.
This is my story, of how I started with an Online Business and how I think everyone should engage in this.
For those who don’t know me, I am Joshua Neyt, at the time of this writing I am 29 years young, from Bruges, Belgium and I am an “Entrepreneur”* and Founder of HU-XU. (*there, I said it)
I first discovered this business 4 years ago, where I found out that an very well-known website called BOL.COM (basically the Belgian/Dutch amazon) was actually not so much a seller but also a platform of where people could sell their products. This opened my eyes, because this platform had an amazing traffic each day, and almost everyone could just hop on and start selling (not so easy anymore). I hopped on the train and started selling on this platform. Now it is not as easy as you would think considering the amount of free traffic, but once I started selling my first products, I realized the potential. And this was my first step into the Online Business world.
Now I am not here to convince you to throw everything you know out of the door and go full on for an Online Business but you should consider just for a moment what it could mean to you.
So here’s 3 reasons why I think you too should give it a try!
1. Small start-up cost
Starting an Online Business is relatively low when working with different platforms that already have a wide reach. For example on Amazon.com, BOL.COM (BE/NL) and Etsy.com. These platforms give you access to all the clients that daily visit these websites and are well known for it. This way you don’t need to invest in your own website which could cost a lot if you don’t know how to make one yourself. They introduce you to the basics of selling online and make it fairly easy for anyone to start with.
2. Great way to earn extra income from the comfort of your home
This one is my favorite, wake up early, grab a coffee and jump right into it from the comfort of my own home! You can earn a nice extra income never leaving the house, but not only that, you can work on it whenever, wherever you want. Once everything is set-up you could even earn money while asleep, now that is the “dream” right (get it?).
3. Great way to get introduced into the world of doing Business
This is also a perfect way to get to know the life of an Entrepreneur, the daily workflow, taxes, income, negotiating, time management, fix problems and much more. Now working on these skills help you in your day-to-day life as well, it will help you manage your time better overall, help you fix problems more easily and so on! Good way to get more confidence in life!
Now as you may have noticed I only talked about the Positive sides in this article, but you must know that it’s not always easy. But then again what is in life? Just know, with the right mindset, the right attitude you can go a long way. Don’t be afraid to fall, get back up. Don’t look at your mistakes as failures, but look at them as lessons. Remember, all Business Owners fail more than they succeed, but then again, you only need to succeed once to be successful.
